Just Announced:

Actors’ Summit, Hudson’s Equity Professional Theater, has announced that it will honor the performance portion of 2009 season subscription tickets purchased from the recently closed Carousel Dinner Theatre. On a show by show basis, Actors’ Summit will admit Carousel patrons at no charge when they present a Carousel season ticket.

“We are saddened by the demise of one of Northern Ohio’s most beloved professional theaters,” said Kathie Franks, president of the board of trustees of Actors’ Summit. “We hope that we can soften the blow to Carousel’s patrons by offering free tickets to holders of 2009 season tickets.

Carousel patrons will need to call Actors’ Summit (330-342-0800) to reserve tickets. Tickets for Doo Wop will be honored at either Russians in Love or Year of Magical Thinking, tickets for My Fair Lady will be honored at either Year of Magical Thinking or Spoon River Anthology, and tickets for The Full Monty will be honored at either Tremont or Laughter in Three Languages. Tickets for High School Musical, The Producers and It’s a Wonderful Life will be honored at Actors’ Summit’s summer and fall productions which have yet to be announced.

“As the only other year round Equity professional theater in Summit County, we feel a responsibility to support Carousel’s loyal season subscribers,” said Co-Artistic director MaryJo Alexander. “Naturally, we hope that some of them will enjoy the intimacy of Actors’ Summit and discover some of the fabulous restaurants in Hudson.”
